Fortune cookies

I have been in Chicago for a few days now. It’s pretty boring here without company. So I usually have to have dinners by myself and I have to go to a restaurant, because I don’t have a kitchen here. Yesterday I went to a supposedly Thai restaurant.
The food was not too bad. If not very authentic, at least it tasted quite nice. I ordered Panang curry with Halibut (a fish from the Atlantic), and I had an excellent Singha beer with it.
After being rushed to pay, as usual in this country, for a brief moment my boredom was completely replaced by amusement: I was given a fortune cookie. I was given fortune cookies before at chinese restaurants in this country, and I had known that they were a North American invention served in American-Chinese restaurants. This one, however, had a different shape, the shape of a roll, which must be very particular for Thai culture, because the wrapper said: “Thai Fortune Cookie”!!!
Hahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahaha hahahaha
